Trustlines are very simple in their design and purpose. By limiting group size to five users per topic, Trustlines empower us to learn from the personal experts we trust most, along with the "trusted few" they trust most, and so on.
The Trusted Few
A very small number of people we know and trust most have the biggest impact on how we discover and learn. These are our Trusted Few. The problem is that relying on these small groups eliminates the primary benefit of social media.
Three Degrees of Recommendation
Simply designate the "few" people you trust most within a specific category. By limiting the group size to five users or less per category, your expert's expert – and their expert's expert – become your experts too.
